What is a 2nd Generation Fire Piston?

The 2nd Generation Fire Piston differs from the primitive fire starting pistons in it offers a pressure release value. The value allows the piston to seep; which means air can escape allowing the piston to be compressed easily while not in use and sealed while it’s being stored.

Simply open the pressure release value, completely compress the piston, then close the valve to ensure the piston shaft is held securely in the piston casing.

The Brass Tip is fitted to the end of the fire piston shaft serving multiple purposes. First, It’s notched to firmly secure the rubber O-ring which ensure and air-tight seal.
